“40th Anniversary” 29th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Center
Family Fun Day 2015 & Parade
Family Fun Day is
aimed to bring people together in a celebration of the community through
family-centered activities, empowering informational sessions, music and
entertainment.
9:30 am – 10:30
am Family Fun Day Parade:
Starting at Frances Willard Elementary School and ending at the Martin
Luther King, Jr. Community Center.
11:30 am – 12:00 pm
Special Performance by Metropolitan Youth Program
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
WE C.A.R.E. Education Forum: The forum will inform the community of
enhancement initiatives, programs that enrich and partnerships that will
strengthen the academic success of all our students.
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
“Making Time for Scholarships” The Quad City Minority Partnership
will provide information on how to apply for scholarships; and this
session will be facilitated by LaDrina Wilson, Eastern Iowa Community
College, and QC Minority Partnership.
