Rock Island County Board meeting
I attended the meeting on February 21st. Guest presenter was Mr. Tim Wells,
Henry County Board Chairman. Chairman Wells asked the board to send a resolution in
opposition to a bill introduced that would ban gun manufacturing within the State of
Illinois. Bill Status of HB1294. This
bill could have a negative impact on Rock Island County gun manufacturer Lewis Machine and Tool.

Also, the board voted 11 to 9 to approve 2% wage increases to three union contracts:
AFSCME, Fraternal Order of Police, and the International Union of Operating

County Board Meetings are held in the county office building at 1504
3rd Avenue, Rock Island.
There is a parking lot in the back of the building off 3rd Avenue.
Entrance is in back that says "no public entrance" as the front door is
locked after 5PM according to the sign on the door. Take the elevator to the third
floor and follow the signs.
